We all have different skin types.  Oily, dry, acne-prone, combination, etc.  Each skin type comes with its own set of challenges and requires a specific product to treat them.  Sensitive skin can be a difficult skin type to cope with because the majority of skin care products are geared towards treating acne, dry or aging skin.  I myself, do not have sensitive skin but as an esthetician I know how tricky it can be to treat sensitive skin.  (Especially if it is accompanied by acne or other skin conditions.)  Most clients suffering from sensitive skin feel they are stuck in a skin care category that leaves them with no skin care options.

Estee Lauder Verite is a skin care line that is designed specifically for people suffering from sensitive skin.  It is formulated without irritants, emulsifiers, fragrances and alcohol.  It consists of a cleanser, calming fluid, eye cream and moisturizer that won’t cause redness or further irritation to sensitive skin.  Let’s see if this is really a product line that will give your sensitive skin the love it deserves.

Estee Lauder Verite Product Analysis

The Estee Lauder Verite skin care line consists of 4 different products specifically formulated for sensitive skin.  For best results Estee Lauder suggests using the Verite skin care line exclusively to avoid undermining or reversing the benefits of Verite.  All of the Verite products are safety tested, dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, allergy tested, fragrance free, alcohol free, allergen free, and emulsifier free and contains no dyes or colorants.

1. Estee Lauder Verite Light Lotion Cleanser is a milky cleanser that washes away makeup and impurities without stripping away lipids or causing dry skin.  It helps to maintain the skin’s natural moisture balance and won’t cause irritation.  It can be used morning and night and should be followed by the Verite Calming Fluid.
2. Estee Lauder Verite Calming Fluid is an anti-aging formula that contains a TriLipid Complex to restore lipids and help repair the skins moisture barrier.  It contains anti-oxidants to protect skin from environmental damage and irritants that can cause premature aging.  It should be used day and night and be followed by the Verite Moisture Relief Creme.
3. Estee Lauder Verite Moisture Relief Creme moisturizes dry skin and helps to rebuild the skin’s moisture defense barrier.  It contains anti-irritants to help reduce the appearance of redness leaving the skin even, soft, and smooth.  It can be used morning and night.

Estee Lauder Verite Conclusion

The majority of customer reviews on this product are positive with the exception of a few customers who complained that it clogged their pores.  However, some customers claimed that it actually helped their acne.  So if you are prone to acne, I would take caution when using this product or maybe keep looking.  My only problem with this product line is the price.  To buy the entire Verite line will cost you $171.  However, I do think it is a quality product so it may be worth it.
