Pitera is said to be one of nature’s purest sources of skin renewal, is the magical ingredient that was discovered by a Japanese Monk who was visiting a sake brewery. He noticed that the hands of the workers were all visibly younger and more vibrant then the rest of their skin. After much research he found that there is a clear, nutrient-rich liquid that can be extracted during the yeast fermentation process that could stop the aging process. This liquid is called  Pitera and is used in SK-11’s Cellumination Hydrating Essence serum.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, I love the story of the little monk who noticed that the workers hands in the distillery looked younger than the rest of their bodies and wish so badly that this product worked like it claims too because of the story alone, but due to the fact that the price of this essence treatment is $195 for 7.2 fl oz or $155 for 5 oz bottle, I can’t love the story enough to spend that much money on it. I have read multiple claims that this product caused them horrible breakouts or that they did not see any improvement at all. Anything that may cause breakouts turns me away really fast because in some peoples cases (okay, my case) sometimes when you can get a product that causes you to breakout, and even when you stop using that product the breakouts continue and you are looking at a whole new game of skin care needs and a whole new batch of money you need to spend to reverse what cost you $195/$155 to start. If you are not prone to breakouts then the reviews and testimonials that this product was “like putting tap water on their face” may make you think twice about spending that much money on it. I really would love to endorse this product and support the monk who discovered Pitera, but just can’t.
