What is  Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum?

Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum is an intensive serum that comes in a cute little package and is said to be able to “reveal timeless skin in just one day” which is quite the claim.  Saying it only takes one application to change your skin seems a little miraculous if you ask me, but I’m not going to give up on this product just yet. I want to know how this serum works and what ingredients would make this serum work in a single day.  They say it is their Bio-Corrective Complex that “prompts regenerative powers inherent in the skin and works to restore skin’s ability to produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid”.  Wow, that sounds nice, but I’m still a bit skeptical on the one day part of this claim. They do go on to say that the benefits will increase as you use this product daily.  That sounds a little better to me.

Final Thoughts

So besides making the claim that this product will deliver “timeless skin in just one day” I think this product is actually okay. They don’t have the most impressive list of active ingredients and the research done in vitro vs in vivo (in the skin) also makes me a little weary because there really are so many factors in our skin that they can’t recreate in a Petri dish, one huge example is hormones, hormones change daily and can make ingredients react totally different. So whenever I see studies that come from in vitro test I don’t hold much credit to them.

The price of this serum is $80 for 1 oz and I wasn’t able to find any info on their return policy.
