What is Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream?

This is an eye cream dedicated to reducing the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and protecting the delicate eye area from future sun damage with an SPF of 6. The ingredients in this cream promises hydration and nourishment while working to increase the movement of blood in the eye area to help rid the area of dark circles and bags. The SPF in this cream is only a 6, which is better than no sunscreen, but feels like a low number for a facial sunscreen when the recommended SPF for the face is a good high 45. But honestly, just to see a sunscreen in this eye cream gets me excited, there are not enough eye creams with SPF’s and our eyes are in desperate need of being protected, I dare to say even more than the rest of our whole bodies.

This triple action eye cream has 3 main functions and ingredients. Let me take a minute to explain both the function and ingredient.

1. Ruscus Extract: this gets the blood flowing and increases microcirculation and reduces the dark circles and puffiness that we are prone to getting under the eye area when we are tired, stressed, and just from aging.
2. Evening Primrose Oil: this hydrates and nourishes this fragile skin with essential fatty acids and linolenic acid. This helps hydrate the eye giving it the moisture it needs to remain soft, velvety to the touch and healthy in appearance.
3. Zinc Oxide: sunscreen that protects from the sun’s harmful rays.

Final Thoughts

Nothing about this eye cream stands out to me other than the fact that I am glad that they have a sunscreen in their compound. But even that is a bit of a disappointment because it is such a low SPF.  Overall I would have to yawn and say that this isn’t the best eye cream out there and to keep looking for something that has better ingredients, more personal testimonials and more excitement to it. When something is really good there is usually a buzz around it and this one definitely doesn’t have that. The other thing that makes me a little apprehensive about this eye cream is that there are some complaints of irritation. I tend to shy away from eye creams that can be irritating due to the delicate nature of the eye skin and how long it can take the skin to recover from an irritating situation or breakout. With how many great eye creams there are on the market, I would keep looking.
