I think this sun soak self tanner would be comparable to any self tanner because of the active tanning ingredient Dihydroxyacetone. This ingredient pretty much does the same thing in every tanning product. It dyes the top layer of the skin, making it vulnerable to soaking into dry spots darker, fading unevenly where your skin is exfoliated more and the smell is pretty universal for this active ingredient. So my final thought on this product is that it is the same as any gradual self tanner for way more money. When it comes to a self tanner, many times the focus needs to be on the application, not on the product itself.

 If you are looking for a good self tanner that doesn’t cost as much as this one, then go to the drug or grocery store and invest in a nice gradual self tanner and a pack of latex gloves so you don’t stain your palms. It is a trick we learned in esthetic school and it is probably the best way to apply a self tanner. Also remember to avoid your directly applying to ankles, knees, elbows, and other dry areas of the body that will soak too much in and turn that orange color.
