What is Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro?

Garnier is a popular drugstore brand that most people know as the green packaged, yummy smelling skin, facial and hair care products. The Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro comes in a pretty red container which I think is to try and symbolize that this product is a little more exclusive and top of the line then their original skin care. This facial cream makes some pretty bold claims that promise wrinkle reduction in as little as 2 weeks by working on a cellular level to plump-up the internal structure of the skin.

 

Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro Ingredient Profile

As mentioned above Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro makes claims to plump-up the skins internal structure and give the credit to an ingredient known as Pro-Xylane.

• Pro-Xylane which comes from beech tree extract.  The specific way Pro-Xylane is said to work is that it promots the production and building of the extra-cellular matrix (the cellular matrix is what gives the skin its shape and texture).  This increases the firmness of the cells and promotes better elasticity and tone.

Other ingredients found in this wrinkle targeting cream include:

• Vitamin A- is a strong antioxidant and has been said to help with skin conditions such as helping with acne, stretch marks, wounds, wrinkles, and eczema.
• Omega 3 & 6- full of essential fatty acids these omegas help cells function and stay healthy.

Final Thoughts on Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro

I think for a drug store brand wrinkle cream that this one may be okay, but overall I am not a fan of drugstore skin care. From personal experience and after spending quite a few years as an esthetician and learning a lot about product lines and ingredients, I think that drugstore skin care lines generally use lower quality ingredients, have a lot of filler products that are usually not very good to put on your body and aren’t able to reach even a portion of the claims they make. I honestly don’t think that Garnier is any different when it comes to the quality and results of this product. I would save my money and put it towards a more quality ingredient that will be safer, more effective and give you the results that you deserve.
