Clinique Repairware Laser Focus is a serum meant to reduce wrinkles, strengthen skin and reverse the effects of environmental stresses.  Their claim is that by using their serum for 12 weeks you will get 63% the results of a clinical laser treatment done in a medical spa or preformed by a doctor.    They promise that their patented antioxidants, enzymes and peptides will dramatically change the look of your skins appearance.

As I looked over the ingredient list, I noticed that there weren’t a lot of ingredients that most people would recognize. As I dissected the ingredients into a few categories , I found that a variety of silicones topped the list, which was disappointing. To help you understand what some of these ingredients are I  broke them down into the main categories I saw.

• Antioxidants:  aminopropyl ascorbyl phosphate, ergothioneine, and punica grantum
• Peptides:acetyl hexapeptide-8, whey protein and retinyl palmitate .
• Enzymes: micrococcus luteus, photolyase fermentate and OGG-1 fermentate
• Silicones: Dimethicone, Methyl Trimethicone, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Polymethylsilsesquioxiane, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11

Even as someone who has worked in the skin care industry for a while it was a task for me to break down the ingredient list to see exactly what they were asking people to put on their skin.

• Clinique Repairware Laser Focus offers a good variety of antioxidants, peptides and enzymes.
• This product is in a serum form which means that it will penetrate deeper into the skin.
• It is lightweight and can easily be used with other products.

• This product is filled with silicones as the top ingredients 
• They make bold claims that this serum can deliver the same results that laser procedures deliver, which if you understand how laser treatments work, you will know that there is no way a serum could match what a laser does.
•  The “eye dropper” packaging Clinique offers with this product has had many complaints due to leaking.

Conclusion on the Clinique Repairware Laser Focus

My final thought on this product is that while it does offer a good variety of antioxidants and peptides that the product itself isn’t able to live up to what it promises. Clinique seems to be a more conservative company and I think this product is their way of staying up with all of the advances in skin care and trying to give their clients a more powerful anti-aging product. I’m sad to say they don’t quite hit the mark with it. I also think that by adding the laser aspect into their claims actually hurt them becuase it sets people up for unreal expectations that you can not achieve through a serum that you purchase at a department store.  For $44.50 per ounce you want to be able to see visible and dramatic results. 

I suggest that you keep looking for products that can offer you skin that looks and feels more youthful and vibrant.
