Argabaume Nuit Reparateur is a French facial cream that is made to work on troubled and blemished skin and said to be an overnight blemish remover. It is rich and creamy texture that is made with argan oil and shea butter balm but even though it sounds like it will be heavy on the skin, they promise that it will not leave your skin oily.  I am breakout prone and so when I hear of a balm product that is rich and creamy, I usually want to keep it as far away from my face as possible. But this cream promises that it will not cause you to break out more but actually help you get rid of the visible blemishes, and going even further it claims that it will treat existing scars and sun damage and also works as an anti-inflammatory and smoothing agent.

I was interested in this ingredient profile. First of all, these ingredients are all natural ingredients, which I know is important to some people. the next thing I notices was that all of the ingredients seem to be extremely rich and packed full of nutirents that could be potentially overwhelming to the skin, especially acne prone skin. If you look at the list below you will notice that there are 2 oils and 1 butter mentioned which are moisturizing but not very friendly to the pores.

• Harder to find for purchase in the states.
• Comes in a pot/jar instead of the preferred pump or tube which are less likely to harbor bacteria.

 

Final Thoughts

The ingredients in this product look okay as far as a basic moisturizing cream goes and with the algae I can see how it could have anti inflammatory properties, but I can’t find any ingredients in this product that are known to actually fight acne and blemishes. And for people who have problem skin, you know that most creams not only don’t do anything to help, but that the majority of them can make your skin actually much worse. If you are looking for a product that combats acne, blemishes, sensitive, oily skin I would keep looking for a product that has an active ingredient in it that is proven. Sorry Argabaume Nuit Reparateur, I just don’t believe that you can live up to your claims with the ingredient list you offer.
